:: on the verge of breaking waves

there is a lot to like about this photo , the timing and the fact that it is what henri cartier bresson calls 'The Decisive Moment' this is noted because of at least two things the way that all but one of the faces are looking at the camera, the other item is the figure just moving out of the shot on the right, the photographer waited as long as possible to take this shot but made the decision to take the shot.. the movement of the hands of the 'speaker' shows this is no where near a staged photo. the almost aggressive look of the group adds a dynamic to the image as well. The details are superb, the reflections from the pavement (because of the rain) and the sunglasses reflection on the second man. a superb shot. the final comment , this works entirely as a black and white image, if this was colour there would be too many distractions, with black and white its all about texture and form, of course i didnt need to tell you that. excellent work
